Phil Wharton Bio
Philip Wharton is an Australian scientific illustrator working in both traditional and digital mediums.
Philip uses Microptic photography, camera lucida and digital rendering as well as oils, watercolour and guache. He is also skilled in graphic design, pre-press and typesetting.
Philip was the youngest person to be accepted into the Queensland Wildlife Artists Association and began exhibiting since the age of 15.
He has worked with organisations including the Queensland Museum, Environmental Protection Agency Queensland, Department of Education Queensland and most recently the Smithsonian Institution National Museum of Natural History (NMNH) and the Universidad Autonoma De Nuevoleon (Monterrey Mexico),
